Sponsorship
Are you keen to build brand awareness with the under 16's? Our audience of pupils, teachers and parents are actively engaged in this activity for ten months each year, which presents a unique opportunity for you to communicate with them regularly.
We're looking for supporters for this established and well-loved website to help us grow as we enter an exciting period of growth.
What is it?
Schools Fantasy League (SFL) is a flagship product of Fantasy League Limited, who run fantasy football websites including The Sun's Dream Team. SFL provides a unique opportunity for pupils to compete against their teachers in a fantasy football game, based on the Premier League.
Entrants have the opportunity to win certificates, medals and trophies and other prizes along the way.
SFL has provided learning opportunities since 1999. It was developed with teachers who recognised the potential for using the live data. Lesson plans are available to encourage teachers to use the program in core subjects like maths and ICT.
How does it work?
The 2011/12 season will be free-to-play!
A teacher pays £25 to register their school. They receive a pack in September when team registration opens. They can purchase an additional Awards pack for £25.
Nearly 50,000 pupils, teachers and parents in over 1,400 schools paid to register a team last season.
Our audience
Due to the nature of the product our audience tends to stay long and return often, mid-October is the busiest time on the site.
The majority of our users are aged 7-16, 80% are male and two-thirds attend secondary school.

(Figures from Google Analytics, for one month of the nine month season, 14 Oct - 13 Nov 2010)
SFL appears on page 1 on Google searches for 'fantasy football' and 'fantasy league'. This can be partly attributed to
the large number of direct links back from participating schools websites.
The future is free to play
We've removed the key barrier to entry - the £3.50 registration fee.
Last year 620 schools took part in our free-to-play game based on the World Cup. Over 50,000 entrants registered a team - that's an average of 80 teams per school. This compares with 30 in a regular season.
Conservative estimates suggest the number of schools registering will climb to 1,800 and the number of entrants to 120,000.
