For Teachers
What is Schools Fantasy League?
SFL has helped motivate, engage and create learning opportunities for pupils of all ages for over 10 years now.
Last season, over 1,400 schools and 47,000 budding football managers competed for the prizes nationally, as well as within their own school leaderboards.
This forthcoming season we are delighted to announce that pupils, teachers and parents associated with your school, will be able to take part for free. Since 1999, when the idea was conceived, entrants have had to pay £3.50 to register a team.
Removing the entry fee means schools will be able to use this resource in the classroom, and everyone will be able to contribute. You'll find some lesson plans, and a whole host of ideas for how to use this resource in the classroom, in our Learning Zone.
It also means that the League Chairman will have much less work to do. They will retain the same control they have had each year by using the facilities available to them in the Chairman's Zone.
SFL provide everything you need to help you get started and when the season kicks off we run all the updates and are ready on the sidelines to support you.
Entrants will control multi-million pound budgets and pick a 'fantasy' team of 11 players. They will accumulate points each week, depending on how their players perform in Premier League
matches.
The program runs from September to May and there are opportunities to reward achievement throughout the season.
